Every image is custom enhanced with my artistic flair. Our time spent together is not only a portrait session, but an experience. I form a personal relationship with each of my clients, so I can get to know you and your needs. Capturing your memories is very special to me. I pride myself on being able to deliver you high-quality prints, canvases, albums, and other products. You do not want your memories sitting on a CD somewhere it will be forgotten about. Your family art is precious and should be proudly displayed in your home, your office, and the homes of other family you would like to gift to.

How do I book your services?
To book a session, send an email to desirecphoto@gmail.com, or use the Contact page. In your message, include the type of session you are interested in. If you’d like a callback, include your phone number, too. Half of your session cost is required to hold your date. (This amount goes toward the entire fee.)

How far in advance should I book my session?
At least one week, so we can consult on your location selections, outfits, etc.

In addition to prints, what other photography products do you offer?
As mentioned before, photography is an art. DCP also offers luxury products, such as canvases, canvases in shadow boxes, custom albums, acrylic photo blocks, frames, and graduation invitations/announcements.

How far will you travel to photograph?
I am not limited to Mobile, Alabama. Travel up to 20 miles from zip code 36606 is included in your session investment. After that, a rate of 55 cents per mile each way will be added to your invoice.

Can our pets be photographed with us?
Of course! Pets are family, too! Be sure to let me know in advance, so I can be better prepared. Also, be sure to bring a carrying case or leash so your pet(s) doesn’t interfere with shots they aren’t supposed to be in. Don’t forget their snacks and clean up baggies.

Can I request specific photos to be taken (i.e. grandchildren/grandparents, kids with pets)?
This is also perfectly fine! I am here to capture your memories the way you want remembered. Be sure to let me know in advance who will be in attendance at your session.

What do we need to bring?
You are welcome to bring props if you’d like, especially if you’re doing senior portraits!
You may also bring additional outfits and makeup, if needed. However, please arrive with your hair and makeup already done.
If you’re booking a family session with kids, I suggest bringing each child’s favorite toy/stuffed animal to 1) keep them busy during shots they’re not in and 2) to use as a prop for photos they take by themselves!

What is your rescheduling policy?
If a client needs to request a reschedule, you must give at least 24 hours (1 day) notice prior to the session time. However, if the session must be rescheduled due to bad weather, the photographer will notify you in advance. Or if bad weather occurs the day of, a new session date will be set at no additional cost.

When will my custom images (‘proofs’) be ready?
Custom images are generally ready within two to three weeks, and will be shown at your in-person image reveal/ordering appointment.

Where is the in-person image reveal/ordering appointment held?
For your convenience,  I travel to your home on a date of your choosing for the image reveal. Once there, we will view every edited, final image. Sizing guides and samples will be brought along. If you’d like to meet somewhere else, that is fine. But due to the emotions people experience when they see their portraits, clients prefer to be at home. An in-home reveal also allows us to see the appropriate sizes that should be ordered for your walls.

Are payment plans available if I order additional products?
Yes, payment plans are available. A deposit is required to start a payment plan.

What are acceptable methods of payment?
Cash, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted.
